Job Summary

Provide professional nursing care to a group of patients in the Emergency Department (ED) using nursing processes, current trends, and technology.
Perform patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and modify plans based on continuous evaluation.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
Ensure patient and staff safety by identifying and addressing safety hazards.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and families.
Support professional development of peers through constructive feedback.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois
Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients
Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Preferred Qualifications

BSN degree (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
Trauma 1 experience highly preferred
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred
