Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Job Details

• Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
• Focus: Extensive procedural support experience with willingness to expand skill set
• Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend
• Call: None
• Floating: Within facility/scope of practice as needed
• Minimum Experience: 1 year (first-time travelers accepted)
• Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days
• Holiday Work: Required to work major holidays if they fall during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day)
• Locals accepted at same rate
• Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; delays may result in a 2-week pushback due to orientation scheduling
• Orientation hours vary based on contract length

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license for the state of Georgia
• Minimum 1 year of specialty experience in Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required prior to start
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to start
• Other certifications may be required depending on unit specifics (refer to clinical track requirements)

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Valid Driver’s License or State ID (photo ID required)
• Background Check completed within 30 days of start, including education verification and criminal history
• Education verification of related degree (can be pending at start with proof of processing)
• State license verification within 30 days prior to start
• Physical exam within 12 months of start (required by agency, not client)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months of start (with additional requirements if prior positive)
• Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
• Immunizations and titers:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titer required
  • Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer required
  • Hepatitis B surface antibody titer or signed declination required
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap highly recommended but not required
  • Flu vaccine or declination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31)
• TB Questionnaire updated annually
• Skills checklist updated within 12 months
• Work history verification of most recent employer (can be pending at start with proof of processing)
• Two clinical references required

Competency Exams

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (required for RRT by agency)
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (required for certain units)
• Color Blind Testing (required for all candidates)
• Other competency exams as applicable per unit requirements

Additional Notes

• Clinical screening will be conducted to determine fit before final manager approval
• Candidates must review and sign code of conduct and dress/professional appearance policies prior to start
• Prior travel experience is not required for this position
• Floating may be required within the facility as needed
