Job Details
- Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
- Focus: Extensive procedural support experience with willingness to expand skill set
- Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend
- Call: None
- Floating: Within facility/scope of practice as needed
- Minimum Experience: 1 year (first-time travelers accepted)
- Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days
- Holiday Work: Required to work major holidays if they fall during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day)
- Locals accepted at same rate
- Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; delays may result in a 2-week pushback due to orientation scheduling
- Orientation hours vary based on contract length
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license for the state of Georgia
- Minimum 1 year of specialty experience in Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required prior to start
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to start
- Other certifications may be required depending on unit specifics (refer to clinical track requirements)
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID (photo ID required)
- Background Check completed within 30 days of start, including education verification and criminal history
- Education verification of related degree (can be pending at start with proof of processing)
- State license verification within 30 days prior to start
- Physical exam within 12 months of start (required by agency, not client)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months of start (with additional requirements if prior positive)
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
- Immunizations and titers:
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titer required
- Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer required
- Hepatitis B surface antibody titer or signed declination required
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap highly recommended but not required
- Flu vaccine or declination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31)
- TB Questionnaire updated annually
- Skills checklist updated within 12 months
- Work history verification of most recent employer (can be pending at start with proof of processing)
- Two clinical references required
Competency Exams
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (required for RRT by agency)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (required for certain units)
- Color Blind Testing (required for all candidates)
- Other competency exams as applicable per unit requirements
Additional Notes
- Clinical screening will be conducted to determine fit before final manager approval
- Candidates must review and sign code of conduct and dress/professional appearance policies prior to start
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position
- Floating may be required within the facility as needed
