Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech

Location: Salem, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Perform Nuclear Medicine procedures in compliance with hospital policies and procedures. Typical shifts are 4 days per week, 10 hours per day, with on-call duties after department hours (approximately 7 on-call days per month, though these shifts are generally not busy).

Schedule

Monday, Tuesday, Friday: 8:15 AM – 6:45 PM
Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
On-call after hours as required

Required Qualifications

Valid Nuclear Medicine license in Oregon
Minimum 5 years of Nuclear Medicine experience, including experience within the last year
Certification with either the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association

Additional Requirements

Criminal background check within 90 days of start (7-year search)
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and ongoing every 30 days
Physical exam within one year of start
Fit mask testing onsite within the first week of starting (unless exempt)
Required immunizations and/or titers: Tdap, TB screening, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu vaccine or declination
Drug testing (10-panel) within 90 days of start
References: 2 references within last 2 years showing 1 year in comparable specialty, with at least one supervisory reference within last 12 months

Onboarding & Compliance

Completion of required competency exams and HealthStream modules by due dates
Badge photo submission prior to start
DOT Highway Shipping & Transportation of RAM training for Nuclear Medicine Techs (approx. 1 hour)
Various facility-specific forms and assessments as applicable
