Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Contract Length: Approximately 26 weeks
Job Description
- Specialty: Labor and Delivery (L&D)
- Patient Population: Childbearing women and newborns including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care
- Unit Characteristics:
- Level 3 Perinatal center with approximately 70% high-risk complex patients
- Level 4 NICU regional center on site
- Approximately 150 births per month
- Two operating rooms on unit for C-sections, BTLs, and postpartum procedures
- 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Floating: Floating within the hospital required; no floating to sister hospitals
- Weekend Requirement: Yes
- Call Requirement: None
- Block Schedule Accommodation: Not available

- Pending License: Not accepted
- Return to Office Restrictions: Maximum 1 week
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
- Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Work Environment & Facility Highlights
- Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with 637 staffed beds

- Scrub color: Any (scrubs provided for OR personnel)
- Parking cost: Approximately $10.26 daily
Scheduling & Hours
- Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift (total 36 hours/week)
- Guaranteed hours subject to census; may be called off or placed on-call in 4-hour increments up to one shift in a 2-week cycle
- No scheduling on weekends or holidays for ambulatory or surgical areas when closed
Additional Notes
- First-time travel nurses accepted
- Performance evaluation requested at end of assignment (Montlake location)
- Photo for badge required prior to start (DMV-style photo, no selfies)
- Suicide prevention training required for multi-state licensed nurses working in Washington (if applicable)
- WA multi-state licensed nurses must complete demographic attestation prior to assignment
- Radiation badges no longer provided by agency for new candidates; must be supplied by facility if needed
