Operating Room Registered Nurse

Job Overview

Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Evening, 5x8 hours, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM
Hours: 40 per week
Contract length: 13 weeks
Setting: Level 1 trauma center

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Jersey
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
3 years of experience with scrub and circulate skills in the operating room
Ortho trauma and spine surgical experience
Neuro/craniotomy for tumor surgical experience
Robotic surgery experience (Xi, SP, DaVinci systems)
Bariatric surgery experience (gastric sleeves, gastric bypasses, laparoscopic and open cases)
Strong trauma surgery skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

Travel experience is preferred
Experience with ortho trauma, spine, neuro/craniotomy for tumor, robotic surgery, bariatrics, laparoscopic and open abdominal cases, gynecology, general surgery, and strong trauma skills

Schedule / Assignment Details

Call is required: 8–12 hours per month
May float between two connected campuses
Block scheduling is not approved
Local candidates are accepted

Additional Notes

Scrub color is provided
Charting system used: EPIC
