- 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- 36 hours per week, typically 3 shifts of 12 hours (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Alternative schedules considered: 2x12 hour shifts and 2x8 hour shifts (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 10:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
- On-call requirement: Two 24-hour calls per schedule, plus 2 calls per Monday-Friday week (either 7 PM – 11 PM or 7 PM – 7 AM) with one day per week available to stay late
- Average patient ratio: 1:2
- Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required
- Weekend requirement: Two 24-hour calls per schedule
- Locals are not accepted

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CVOR Technologist
- CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Compliance and Background Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 12 months of start, including SSN trace, counties lived/worked, statewide, national sex offender, national criminal, federal extended, and education verification
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
- Foreign equivalency education evaluation required for internationally educated candidates
- Verification of highest level of education required
- Sex offender search required
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start and updated annually (clean shaven required)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray documentation required
- Annual TB questionnaire required
- Required vaccinations or proof of immunity (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (September 1 – March 31)
- COVID vaccination series preferred but not required
Additional Training and Competency Requirements
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required within 12 months, minimum passing score 85%
- Color blind testing required for all candidates starting on or after 8/2/2024, minimum passing score 80%
- Various facility-specific training modules and attestations required, including but not limited to:
- Language Services Training
- CAUTI Education Training
- Suicide Risk and Environmental Assessment Training
- Mobile Heartbeat Alarm Module (with some unit exceptions)
- Stroke Education (except pediatric specialties and NICU)
- CLABSI Prevention Training
- Preventing Pressure Injury Training
- Patient Transportation with Oxygen Education
- Pyxis ES MedStation Training
- Baxter Pump Interoperability Training
- Patient Bedside Rounding (except OR, Behavioral Health, Ambulatory, ER/ED)
- Ventricular Assist Device Awareness
- AME Blood Administration Module (except Case Managers and Behavioral Health/Psych/Home Health)
- New Employee Orientation Module
- 21st Century Cures Act Module (not required for CVOR Tech)
- Fire Safety Module (effective 5/4/2026)
- Chaperone Policy Training (effective 5/31/2024)
- EPIC charting system experience encouraged; EPIC testing or training may be required
Documentation and History Requirements
- Employment application with 7-year work history, no gaps greater than 90 days
- Verification of last 7 years of employment required for all start dates on/after 8/2/2024
- Skills checklist required within 12 months of start
- One supervisor reference within the past year required for ICU assignments; otherwise, standard reference requirements apply
- Attestation of prior radiation exposure required for surgical and related tech roles

- Return to office (RTO) restrictions: RTO greater than 7 days requires approval
