Role Overview

• Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics travel/contract assignment in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
• Night shift: 4x12 hours, 19:00–7:30.
• Contract length: 13 weeks.
• Floating: may float between Bridgeport Hospital and Milford Campuses, and should expect to rotate through all areas of the hospital, including NICU and Pediatric units.
• Schedule includes every other weekend and holidays as needed.
• Short term acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds and a Level II Trauma Ctr.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Connecticut.
• Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience).
• Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year.
• One completed travel assignment.
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients.
• Experience with Drager ventilators.
• References required within 3 years of start.
• Must include a 7 year work history with no gaps greater than 90 days.
• Verification of last 7 years of employment required for all start dates on/after 8/2/2024, including extensions.
• Physical Exam required within 12 months of start.
• Fit Test required within 12 months of start and must be updated annually.
• Negative TB or Chest X-Ray required.
• TB Questionnaire required and must be updated annually.
• 10 Panel Drug Screen required within 12 months of start.
• Skills Checklist 1 required within 12 months of start.
• Color Blind Testing Online required.
• Employment Application must include a 7 year work history with no gaps greater than 90 days.
• Attestation of Prior Radiation Exposure required.

Preferred

• NICU experience preferred.
• COVID vaccination is preferred if the candidate has received it.
