Overview

• 13-week contract
• Salem, Massachusetts
• Nights, every other weekend
• 36 hours per week
• Free on-site parking

Unit

• Emergency Department
• 65-bed, pod-based Emergency Department
• Separate pediatric pod
• Separate Acute Mental Health area
• Patient population: all
• Census: 230 visits/day
• Clinician-to-patient ratio: 1:4

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• General ED nursing skills, including assessment, documentation, IV, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point of care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• License/certificate verification
• MA Conditional Licenses not accepted
• NURSYS and BON required for nursing licenses

Preferred Qualifications

• NRP
• TNCC

Floating / Scheduling

• Floating required to the ED Observation wing (16 beds) and AMU (ED Psych OBs)
• Rotating day shifts may be requested; low rotation frequency
• Night position does not rotate
