Registered Nurse (RN) Outpatient / Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Role overview

• Temp assignment in Windsor, Vermont.
• Based in the Same Day Surgery Center.
• Mostly PACU work, with occasional support in the OR as needed.
• Surgical Services has 2 operating rooms and a procedure room.
• Care is for adult and geriatric patients; the department also provides care to patients ages 16 and older.

Required qualifications

• Valid RN license in Vermont
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Same Day Surgery experience
• PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
• PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
• IV starts
• Experience with Cerner
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• Driver's License

Preferred qualifications

• PACU/ICU experience.
• Travel experience.

Additional notes

• Hospital-provided scrubs.
• 8-hour days.
• 13-week contract.
• No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted.
• Travelers may not take all holidays off and must work two holiday blocks if scheduled/needed.
• Local travelers within 50 miles are not eligible.
• Call is required.
