CVOR Registered Nurse

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Day, 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM to 5:30 PM), 40 hours per week

Facility Details

Hospital is a 548-bed tertiary academic medical center and Level I Regional Resource Trauma Center.
Heart Center supports structural heart and advanced cardiovascular interventions with dedicated cardiac surgery, anesthesia, perfusion, and critical care teams.
Hospital-provided scrubs.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
CVOR (2 years of experience)
CVOR experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or RQI
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or RQI
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
Experience in the general operating room (OR) is required
Required cardiovascular experience with Aortic Aneurysm repair
Required cardiovascular experience with Atrial Septal Defect repair
Required cardiovascular experience with Cardiomyoplasty
Required cardiovascular experience with CABG
Required cardiovascular experience with IABP
Required cardiovascular experience with MAZE procedures
Required cardiovascular experience with Mitral Valve replacement
Required cardiovascular experience with Pericardial Window
Experience with Cerner

Schedule and Assignment

On call 1–2 days per week, including 1 weekend of call per month and call for 1 summer and 1 winter holiday
Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
May float to General OR based on facility needs
May float to another facility in the system approximately 20 miles away

All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at time of submission; requests received after submission will not be accepted
Planned time off must not interfere with completion of pre-start compliance
