3+ years of experience
Labor and Delivery experience (2 years)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington; primary source verification required
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Basic Life Support (BLS), issued by American Heart Association or RQI
Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (NRP), AHA (RQI accepted), required for Mother-Baby and L&D RNs
Experience with cesarean section (C-section)
Experience with magnesium drips
Experience with Epic
Medication/pharmacology competency exam, required for RNs
Patient restraints competency exam, required for all except SPTs
Annual Core Parts I, II, and III, each requiring 85% or higher (individual sections can be remediated to reach an 85% average)
Annual OSHA Mandatory competency, requiring 85% or higher
Competency exam, requiring 85% or higher
IV Therapy/Infusion exam, required for RNs working in infusion/IV therapy (IV certification is completed onsite)

Background check covering all locations lived, worked, or attended school in the past 7 years, including SSN trace, Washington counties, Washington statewide, Washington federal, nationwide, and national sex offender searches (international searches if applicable)
Washington Courts search, run and saved per the posted instructions
10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant tests acceptable)
Government-issued photo ID
Social Security number provided (card not needed)
Copy of employment application
Two satisfactory references from managers or supervisors at previous employers within the last year, covering clinical competency and reliability (charge RNs accepted)

Physical exam within 1 year of start (not required annually)
Tdap vaccine (highly preferred) or declination
Negative TB test (QuantiFERON Gold, T-SPOT, or 2 PPDs within 1 year of start; PPD induration of 10 mm or less)
Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity via titer or 2 vaccines (1 booster if negative or equivocal)
Hepatitis B titer, proof of series, or declination
Flu vaccine or declination, required year-round (updated documentation deadline 11/18)

Facility modules assigned after orientation; must be completed as soon as possible, with the facility monitoring progress. Candidates not finished within the first week may be pulled from the schedule.
