Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: Olive Branch, Mississippi
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week (Saturday, Sunday, Monday), 18:30 - 07:00 (3x12 hour shifts)
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Job Description

Perform both X-Ray and CT imaging procedures.
Must have prior experience with X-Ray imaging.
This is a travel assignment; local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible.
First-time travel techs are not accepted.
Must comply with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines; pending licenses are not accepted.
Driver’s license must be included with submission.

Required Qualifications

Valid CT Technologist license in Mississippi.
Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year.
Completion of at least one travel assignment as a CT Technologist.
ARRT certification in CT.

Certifications & Competencies

ARRT (CT) certification mandatory.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC) required.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required depending on assignment area (verify if applicable).
National certification required for CT Techs assigned to Mississippi.
Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests must be current (within 1 year).

Background & Compliance Requirements

Background check within 60 days of start including statewide, county, federal, and education verification.
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and annually thereafter.
Sex offender search must be run separately from background check.
Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet job demands.
Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (no pending results accepted).
Fit test for 3M N-95 masks within 1 year, with a clear pass result (required for some tech roles).
Immunization requirements:
- Proof of immunity or vaccination for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella. Booster series required if titers are low or equivocal.
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or positive titer or signed declination.
- TB test (2-step PPD, Q-Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year; if positive, clear chest X-ray within 2 years plus annual TB questionnaire.
Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Apr 30). Exemptions require mask-wearing in patient areas and may delay start date.

Documentation & Submission Requirements

Two forms of government-issued ID (e.g., driver’s license, social security card, passport).
Two recent professional references required.
Photo for badge must meet strict guidelines (passport-style, no hats, no glasses with glare, neutral expression, taken within last 6 months).
Submission packet includes application, references, skills checklist, state license verification, and certification information.
All Return to Office (RTO) requests must be included at time of submission; late RTOs will not be approved.

Additional Notes

This is a short-term acute care facility with Level IV Trauma Center designation.
No locals within 50 miles accepted for this travel assignment.
Prior travel experience is required; first-time travelers will not be considered.
