Job Opportunity: CT Tech
Location: Olive Branch, Mississippi
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week (Saturday, Sunday, Monday), 18:30 - 07:00 (3x12 hour shifts)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Job Description
- Perform both X-Ray and CT imaging procedures.
- Must have prior experience with X-Ray imaging.
- This is a travel assignment; local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible.
- First-time travel techs are not accepted.
- Must comply with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines; pending licenses are not accepted.
- Driver’s license must be included with submission.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Mississippi.
- Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year.
- Completion of at least one travel assignment as a CT Technologist.
- ARRT certification in CT.
Certifications & Competencies
- ARRT (CT) certification mandatory.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC) required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required depending on assignment area (verify if applicable).
- National certification required for CT Techs assigned to Mississippi.
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests must be current (within 1 year).
Background & Compliance Requirements
- Background check within 60 days of start including statewide, county, federal, and education verification.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and annually thereafter.
- Sex offender search must be run separately from background check.
- Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet job demands.
- Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (no pending results accepted).
- Fit test for 3M N-95 masks within 1 year, with a clear pass result (required for some tech roles).
- Immunization requirements:
- Proof of immunity or vaccination for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella. Booster series required if titers are low or equivocal.
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or positive titer or signed declination.
- TB test (2-step PPD, Q-Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year; if positive, clear chest X-ray within 2 years plus annual TB questionnaire.
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Apr 30). Exemptions require mask-wearing in patient areas and may delay start date.
Documentation & Submission Requirements
- Two forms of government-issued ID (e.g., driver’s license, social security card, passport).
- Two recent professional references required.
- Photo for badge must meet strict guidelines (passport-style, no hats, no glasses with glare, neutral expression, taken within last 6 months).
- Submission packet includes application, references, skills checklist, state license verification, and certification information.
- All Return to Office (RTO) requests must be included at time of submission; late RTOs will not be approved.
Additional Notes
- This is a short-term acute care facility with Level IV Trauma Center designation.
- No locals within 50 miles accepted for this travel assignment.
- Prior travel experience is required; first-time travelers will not be considered.
