Job Opportunity: OB/GYN Nurse Supervisor (Travel/Contract)

Location: Oakland, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Supervise and provide visibility to nursing staff in a busy OB/GYN outpatient clinic.
  • Responsibilities include staff supervision, skills education, workflow remediation, conducting staff meetings, and education.
  • Focus areas: outpatient clinic, pediatrics, women's services, goal setting, employee evaluations, action plans, conflict resolution, patient satisfaction, survey readiness, and scheduling.

Shift Details

  • Day shift
  • 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
  • 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
  • Minimum 3 years of OB/GYN nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Certifications required:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Experience in a clinic setting
  • Experience in charge nurse roles

Additional Requirements

  • Accepts first-time travel nurses (no prior travel experience required).
  • Must provide a valid photo ID (Driver’s License or Passport).
  • Background check within 90 days prior to start, including multiple criminal and sanction searches.
  • Education verification required; minimum education must be met before start.
  • Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, NP, or APRN, confirming good health and ability to perform job duties.
  • Fit mask test within 90 days of start; specific mask types required for patient-facing roles.
  • Immunizations and health documentation required:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or signed declination)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray updated annually
    • Proof of MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccinations or positive titers
    • Hepatitis B positive titer or declination
    • Varicella vaccinations or positive titer
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination (masking required during flu season)
  • Drug screening (oral saliva test) within 30 days of start; rapid tests not accepted.
  • Competency exams and color blindness testing required within 90 days of start.
  • Employment verification for the past 3 years and current resume covering last 7 years required.
  • Photo for badge must be passport style with no filters.
