Registered Nurse (MS/Telemetry) - Travel/Contract

Location: Rolla, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36


Job Description

  • Care for adult and geriatric patients in an acute medical-surgical setting
  • Patient conditions include CHF, infections, cardiac catheterization, pacemaker care, pneumonia, stroke, TIA, seizures, UTI, and others
  • Post-procedure care for pacemaker and cardiac catheterization patients
  • Manage thoracentesis, chest tubes, cardiac drips, heparin drips, and peritoneal dialysis
  • Work primarily on Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Missouri
  • Minimum 2 years of Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Required Compliance and Documentation

  • Background check covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in the past 7 years, updated annually
  • HHS/OIG clearance
  • Highest level of education verification (diploma or transcript)
  • Annual competency exam
  • Facility-specific documents including job description acknowledgment, parking policy review, COVID-19 vaccination declaration, and orientation checklist
  • N95 fit test within 1 year of start (must use 1870+ mask)
  • Negative TB test (PPD, QGold, or T-Spot) within 4 months of start; if positive, chest x-ray within 5 years and annual TB questionnaire required
  • Immunizations or positive titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B titer, vaccine series, or signed declination
  • Varicella immunity (2 vaccines or positive titer)
  • 9-panel urine drug screen within 3 months of start (marijuana not required)
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or signed declination during flu season (October–April)
  • Seasonal COVID vaccine or declination

  • Prior travel experience is not specified as required
  • Work environment includes exposure to complex cardiac and medical-surgical patients requiring advanced monitoring and interventions
  • Orientation includes completion of required modules and training, with some allowed pre-start completion
