Interventional Radiology Travel/Contract Position

Location: Edgewood, Kentucky
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Four 10-hour day shifts per week (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM)
• Call: Required
• Float: Primarily at Edgewood with potential to float between nearby campuses as needed (rare and based on staffing needs)
• Procedures Performed:

  • Angiograms
  • Venograms
  • PICC line placement
  • Port-a-cath management
  • Vertebroplasty
  • GI bleed interventions
  • Embolization
  • Biliary tube exchange
  • Nephrostomy
  • IVUS (Intravascular Ultrasound)
  • Fistulagram
  • Transjugular biopsy
  • IVC filter removal
  • Thrombectomy for neuro cases
• Equipment Experience: EKOS, Inari, Penumbra, Jeti
• Electronic Medical Record: EPIC experience required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Special Procedures Technologist license in Kentucky
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Special Procedures Technologist, with experience within the last year
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system

Health & Safety Requirements

• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Flu vaccination required (declinations not accepted; exemptions require documentation)
• Tdap vaccine required within last 10 years (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within last 12 months
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (THC not required)
• Physical exam within last 12 months attesting ability to meet job demands
• Fit mask test within last 12 months (3M 1870+ or 1860 Small mask required)

Appearance & Workplace Policies

• No nose rings or gauged earrings allowed
• Fingernails must be natural and less than 1/4 inch in length; polish is acceptable
• Scrubs/apparel must not display any agency or brand logos
• No cafeteria on-site; refrigerator and microwave provided
• Free parking in any unrestricted space

Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID required and must be carried during work hours
• Background checks: 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG within 30 days of start
• Education verification and transcript/diploma required
• Two clinical references within last 2 years required
• Photo for badge (passport style on light background) required

Additional Notes

• Candidates may complete fit testing onsite during first week if needed (out-of-pocket cost applies)
• Floating to other campuses is infrequent and based on staffing needs such as illness or case volume
• Strict enforcement of appearance and dress code policies

This position is suitable for radiology professionals skilled in interventional procedures who are comfortable with call responsibilities and occasional floating within a regional hospital system. First-time travel healthcare workers are welcome to apply.
