Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Neuro ICU

Location: Shreveport, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each) from 18:45 to 07:15
Patient Census: Approximately 10 patients
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:2
Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend

Job Description

May be assigned to an Emergency Team during critical events, requiring staying onsite until the event passes or serving as part of a relief team.
Float assignments occur only between Neuro ICU and other ICUs based on staffing needs.
Scrub color: Royal blue.
Epic electronic health record experience is required.
This unit accepts first-time travel nurses.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana.
Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, with ICU experience within the last year.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Current CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification.
Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
