Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Job Description

Shift: 0645-1715 with liver call; may assist with other cases if no liver/transplant cases available
Must have strong experience in liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures
Proficiency required in Misonix/CUSA equipment
Experience required in organ implantation (not just harvesting)
Nurse will float within scope to meet facility needs
On-call requirement: 1 shift per week plus two 12-hour weekend shifts per month
Locals accepted at same rate
Pending license accepted
Guaranteed hours: 36 hours for 3x12-hour shifts or 40 hours for 8/10-hour shifts
Block scheduling not accommodated

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including within the last year
Minimum 2 years of direct liver/transplant experience or direct RN experience
Strong experience in liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures
Proficiency in Misonix/CUSA equipment
Experience with organ implantation (putting organs back in the new patient), not just harvesting
Current ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Current BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
