Job Opportunity: Step Down Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 8 weeks

Job Description

Unit does not accept first-time travelers.
Patient Diagnoses include:
- Pre-liver transplant
- Acute/chronic liver failure
- End Stage Renal Disease
- Diabetic ketoacidosis
- Sepsis
- Acute/chronic respiratory failure
- Heart failure
Special Procedures/Unit Details:
- Hospice care
- Immunoglobulin therapy
Float requirement
Epic experience required

Required Certifications

BCLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
Minimum of one year of experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Step Down setting within the last year
Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
Experience with Epic electronic health record system
