Physical Therapist - Acute Care Hospital (Travel/Contract)

Location: Salina, Kansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)
Weekends: Rotating weekends with days off during the week to compensate

Job Description

• Provide patient care in ICU, cardiac step-down unit, general medical, and surgical floors
• Perform crutch training and mobility training on the day of surgery in the Ambulatory unit
• Provide therapy services at a surgery center across the street under contract
• Treat outpatient neuro patients in a multidisciplinary setting

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Kansas
• Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapist experience, with experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Additional Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID must be carried during hours of service
• Proof of E-Verify or attestation required
• Background check: 7-year criminal history check covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years; must be completed within a year of start and updated annually
• FACIS Level III screening required within 30 days of start
• Education verification or proof of highest degree earned required
• Physical exam within the last 12 months, signed by MD, DO, PA, or ARNP, confirming ability to perform essential job functions
• N95 Fit Test within 12 months of start; can be completed onsite during orientation if needed
• Negative TB test (Qgold, Tspot, or 2-Step PPD) within 12 months of start; if previously positive, additional documentation required
• Immunizations or titers required: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (positive titer or vaccine series)
• Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen including marijuana within 60 days of start; must be SAMHSA certified and reviewed by MRO
• Seasonal flu vaccine or declination required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31); if declined, mask must be worn at all times
• COVID-19 vaccine or declination accepted

Documentation & Compliance

• Completion of facility-specific Healthstream modules (~8 hours) required prior to start
• Photo for badge required
• References: 2 professional references within 2 years required for travel positions
• Employment application/resume required
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Core competency exams as applicable

• Locals and first-time travelers are accepted
• Rotating weekends with compensatory days off during the week
• Prior travel experience is not required for this position
