Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Hazard, Kentucky
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (5 days per week, 8 hours per day)
Call/Weekend Requirements: Call rotation plus every 6th or 7th weekend; floating within scope of practice required
Scheduling: Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated

Job Description and Responsibilities

Operating Room RN First Assist role
Must have strong experience in Orthopedics
Experience required in Endoscopy, General Surgery, and ENT cases
Call rotation and weekend coverage as noted above
Floating to other units as needed within scope of practice

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kentucky
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
First Assist with 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
Strong Orthopedics (Ortho) case experience
Experience in Endoscopy, General Surgery, and ENT Surgery cases
Operating Room (OR) experience
Certifications issued by the American Heart Association:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
