Job Description
- Perform breast ultrasound imaging exclusively.
- Work closely with mammography technologists and radiologists.
- Possible involvement in breast biopsy procedures.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (5 days a week, 8 hours per day).
- No on-call or weekend requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, including breast sonography experience within the last year.
- Current ARDMS certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year background check including SSN trace with all aliases, county searches, nationwide sex offender search, education verification, and other regulatory screenings.
- FACIS Level 3 screening required within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required and updated annually.
- Education verification required unless highest education is high school.
- Official transcripts/diplomas may be requested if verification attempts fail.
- Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana due to California law).
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, with clearance for work.
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually (with accommodations considered for religious exemptions or facial hair).
- TB screening questionnaire within 90 days of start, renewed annually.
- Negative TB test (QGold, TSPOT, or PPD) within 90 days of start, renewed annually.
- Immunizations or proof of immunity required for:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (series or declination)
- Varicella
- Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30) or signed declination.
- Respiratory safety clearance required prior to start and renewed annually.
Documentation and Verification
- Must provide 7 years of full work history with no gaps.
- Employment verification required for up to 7 years; gaps over 30 days must be explained.
- Two professional references required within 3 years for clinical/allied/per diem acute care roles.
- State license primary source verification within 30 days of start.
- National certification verification required within 30 days of start.
- Candidate must review and sign facility-specific documents including job description, standards of business conduct, code of conduct, vendor training, and other regulatory forms prior to start.
