Job Requirements

    • Fluoroscopy Permit
    • California State License (CPDH Certificate required for RTs working in CA)

    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
    • Chemotherapy Certification
    • Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
    • IV Certification (LVN/LPN/Other)
    • Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
    • NIH Stroke Certification
    • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
  • Licensing:
    • Must have a valid CA state license (pending licenses not accepted)
    • NURSYS verification required for RNs
  • On-Call Requirement: Yes, minimum of 12 call days for a 6-week schedule including weekends
  • Scrubbing: Must have cerebral scrubbing experience
  • Floating: May be required to float to a nearby Providence facility (Providence Mission Laguna)
  • Charting System: Epic
  • Scrub Color: RN Royal Blue; OR scrubs provided
  • Parking: Free

Schedule & Work Conditions

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • On-call required with minimum 12 call days in 6 weeks, including weekends
  • Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager discretion
  • Facility may call off once per two-week pay period

Required Documentation & Compliance

  • Background Checks:
    • Must be completed within 45 days of start date and updated annually
    • Includes SSN Trace, Death Master Index, Nationwide and County checks, Sex Offender Registry, FACIS Level 3, Education Verification, MVR (if applicable), and International Background Search (if applicable)
  • Education Verification: Required for all candidates
  • Employment Application: Must include at least last 5 years of employment with explanations for gaps or overlaps
  • References: Minimum of 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years in comparable specialty/setting
  • Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating fitness to work
  • Drug Testing: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
  • Immunizations & Health Requirements:
    • TDAP (within 10 years or declination accepted)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required)
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titer or declination
    • Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
    • Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer or declination
    • Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
    • COVID vaccine or declination
  • Respiratory Safety Clearance: Required for travel candidates, must be medically cleared annually for respirator use
  • Fit Mask Testing: Required for travel candidates, updated annually; onsite testing available if no recent record
  • Photo for Badge: Passport-style photo with neutral background required prior to start

Training & Competency Requirements

  • Competency Exams: Required as applicable by profession/specialty (e.g., medication test, pharmacology competency)
  • Skills Checklist: Must be updated annually for applicable units
  • WorkRamp Modules:
    • Core and specialty-specific training modules required prior to start and annually
    • Modules assigned based on region, profession, and specialty
    • Epic training modules required for Providence access
  • Color Blind Testing: May be required on a unit basis (80% passing score)

  • Candidates must include Return to Office (RTO) restrictions at time of submission
  • Locals accepted at the same rate
  • Pending licenses are not accepted
  • Facility offers free parking
  • Candidate may be required to float to nearby Providence facility
  • Background checks and education verifications are strictly enforced
  • References and employment history must be verifiable and meet minimum standards
