Job Details
- Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Patient Ratio: 1:5
- Required Licenses/Certifications:
- ARRT-T (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Therapist)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Kentucky state license
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in specialty
- Preferred: Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience
- At least 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist
- No explicit prior travel experience required
Certifications
- ARRT-T certification
- BLS certification (AHA only)
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, EFM certifications may be required depending on unit (check unit-specific requirements)
- State license primary source verification required
- NURSYS verification required for RNs (if applicable)
Background Checks & Verifications
- 7-year criminal background check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
- Education verification matching specialty required (transcript or diploma acceptable if verification unavailable)
- State-specific abuse registry check for Home Health specialties (KY)
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start (not required for non-clinical)
- Fit mask test annually (with waiver process for failed tests)
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years (declination acceptable for non-clinical)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
- Baseline TB risk assessment within 90 days of start, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 2 vaccines or IgG titer required; declinations not accepted
- Hepatitis B: Surface antibody titer, series, or declination required
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or IgG titer required; declinations not accepted
- Negative 9-panel urine drug screen within 90 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccine or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
- COVID-19 vaccination or medical/religious exemption required
Competencies & Exams
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Color blindness testing prior to start
- Competency exam required for clinical candidates prior to start
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam may be required depending on unit
Documentation & Other Requirements
- Driver’s license if driving is a major job function
- Photo for badge (headshot with solid light background)
- 2 professional references required (1 for non-clinical)
- Employment application required
- Unit-specific skills checklist updated annually (not required for non-clinical)
Notes
- Unit-specific certification and competency requirements may vary; verify with unit profile.
- Background checks and health documents must be current and compliant with facility standards.
- Flu and COVID vaccine exemptions require facility-specific forms but do not require facility approval if accepted by agency.
- Respiratory fit test waiver available for failed fit tests with medical or religious reasons, must be renewed annually.
