PT Outpatient

Overview

• Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation
• Location: Milford, New Hampshire
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Schedule: 4x10 Days or 5x8 Days, with 2 nights until 7pm for both schedules
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Setting: Outpatient Clinic
• Unit focus: Outpatient Orthopedics
• Call/float: No call or float required
• First-time traveler: Accepted only with previous ortho experience

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in New Hampshire
• Physical Therapist (1 year of experience)
• Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Experience working with Geriatric patients
• Experience in a Clinic setting
• Experience with Manual Therapy
• Experience with Hand Therapy
• Experience with Cervical Traction
• Experience with Lumbar Traction
• Experience with E-Stim
• Experience with Iontophoresis
• Experience with TENS
• Experience with Ultrasound

Preferred Qualifications

• Hand Therapy
• Oncology experience
• Adaptive Devices & Sensory Response experience

Experience and Skills

• General skills: Home Exercise Programs, Lifting and Transfer, Patient Family Education, Safety and Injury Prevention, Billing
• Supported units/experience: Geriatrics, Orthopedics, Sport Medicine
• Assessment skills: AROM/AAROM/PROM, Assistive Devices, Body Mechanics, Identifying Environmental Barriers, Pain Assessment, Skin Integrity, Strength Testing, Vital Signs
• Documentation skills: Assessment, Discharge, Evaluation, Long Term Goals, Plan of Care, Reassessments, Short Term Goals, Time Management
• Equipment/devices: Crutches, Gait Belt, Rolling Walker, Standard Walker
• Orthopedics experience: Ankle Sprains, Cervicalgia, Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD), Degenerative Joint Disease (DJD), Elbow Injuries/Tendinopathy, Extremity Mobilization, Frozen Shoulder, Gait Training, Hand Injuries/Tendinopathy, Hip Fractures/Injuries, Knee Injuries/Tendinopathy, Low Back Pain, Lumbar Traction, Osteoarthritis, Post Op Cervical Surgery, Post Op Shoulder Repair, Post Op Spinal Surgery, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Sciatica, Spinal Conditions, Spinal Mobilization, Taping, Total Hip Replacement, Total Knee Replacement
• Modalities: Cervical Traction, Cryotherapy, E-Stim, Iontophoresis, Lumbar Traction, Moist Heat, TENS, Ultrasound
