Respiratory Therapist

Job Overview

• Location: Camden, Arkansas
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Rotating night shift, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Schedule: Every other weekend and holidays
• Weekly hours alternate between 36 and 48 hours every 2 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Arkansas
• Respiratory Therapist (1 year of experience)
• Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association or United States Department of Defense
• ACLS issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association or United States Department of Defense

Additional Requirements

• Background check, including criminal search and other listed screenings
• Physical exam
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray
• Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella documentation
• Drug screen within the last 12 months
• Flu vaccination or masking during flu season if vaccine is declined
• Competency exam and medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• HIPAA acknowledgment
• Annual compliance updates for certain documents and screenings

Work Setting

• Single therapist on duty during the shift
• Primarily serves ER patients with occasional observation patients
• Provides acute-care-level respiratory services in the ER until transfer is needed for ventilator or BiPAP/CPAP patients

• No holiday time off allowed
