Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Overview

  • Travel/contract role in Albuquerque, New Mexico
  • Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
  • 36 hours per week
  • Contract length: 18 weeks
  • Unit is high-acuity, with a large volume of admitted patients and ED holding

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New Mexico
  • ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
  • ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • TNCC
  • NIHSS
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Trauma experience
  • PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Travel experience is strongly preferred
  • Level I trauma experience is preferred
  • Candidates with 2+ years of Level I experience may be considered if they do not have travel experience

Clinical Expectations

  • Care will include admitted patients and ED holding patients
  • Medication administration, including IV medications, is part of the role
  • Floating may include Peds ED, Adult PCUs, ED Holding, and Trauma as needed

Additional Notes

  • Cerner familiarity may be tested during orientation
  • COVID vaccination is optional
  • Flu documentation is required before start
  • RTO over 7 days requires approval
