Telemetry RN Travel Contract

Overview

Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Start: ASAP
Contract length: 13 weeks
Specialty: Cardiovascular telemetry unit
Shift: Days, 4x12 hours (7:00 AM–7:30 PM)
Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
First-time travelers accepted
Local candidates not accepted; travelers must live at least 50 miles away

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Michigan
Telemetry (1 year of experience)
Telemetry experience within the last year
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with Cerner

Schedule and Unit Details

Call: None
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday requirement: Must work 2 of 3 holidays
Block scheduling is not guaranteed
Typical patient ratio: 1:5–6, with possible increases to 1:7
Unit includes cardiac telemetry patients and may take overflow medical patients

Additional Notes

Scrub color: Royal blue
Charting system: Cerner Powerchart
Background check, physical exam, fit mask testing, TB clearance, drug screen, and immunization/documentation requirements are part of onboarding
Modules must be completed before start and may take 8–10 hours
