Operating Room RN

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Largo, Maryland
• 13-week assignment
• Evening shift: 5x8, 14:45–23:15
• 40 hours per week
• Start date: 09/28/2026
• Adults/Geriatrics patient population
• 1:1 ratio

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maryland
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• OR - Operating Room (3 years of experience)
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• DaVinci robotics experience
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification

Schedule and Assignment Details

• Holidays required as scheduled
• Weekends required on a rotational basis, including on-call weekends
• On-call required: 5–6 calls per 4-week period, including one weekend call
• Weekday/weeknight on-call runs from end of shift until 6:30 AM the next morning
• Weekend on-call is 24 hours
• Must arrive within 30 minutes when called in
• Floating required within the specialty and to a sister campus as needed

Unit / Clinical Setting

• Level II trauma center
• General OR cases include trauma, urology, podiatry, orthopedics, plastics, neurosurgery, gynecology, endoscopy, ENT, thoracic, vascular, cardiac, and bariatrics

Additional Notes

• First-time travelers accepted with strong general OR and robotics experience
• Epic is required
