Job Overview

• Location: Newark, New Jersey
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day, 3x12 hours
• Weekly hours: 36

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Jersey
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• CVOR (2.5 years of experience)
• CVOR experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Transplant experience (cardiac, lung, and/or kidney)
• Cardiovascular procedures experience (valve replacement, CABG, TAVR, aortic aneurysm repair, dissection, VATs)
• Vascular procedures experience (endovascular AAA, carotid endarterectomy, arteriogram, angiogram, TCAR, AV fistula, femoral popliteal bypass graft)
• Experience with Epic

Clinical Experience

• Cardiovascular procedures: valve replacement, CABG, TAVR, aortic aneurysm repair, dissection, VATs
• Vascular procedures: endovascular AAA, carotid endarterectomy, arteriogram, angiogram, TCAR, AV fistula, femoral popliteal bypass graft

Schedule and Call

• On-call 24 hours on Saturday/Sunday one weekend per month
• On-call 8-hour shift on 2 weekdays
• Must work 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays, per unit needs

Unit Details

• Unit: CVOR / Hybrid Room
• Scrubs provided by hospital
• Floating may include Main OR and primarily ortho/general cases, plus laparoscopic, GYN, robotic, ortho/neuro, vascular, and pediatric surgery

Additional Notes

• Scrub experience is preferred
• Cardiac, lung, and/or kidney transplant experience is highly preferred
• RTO and schedule requests must be submitted with a screenshot before offer; no requests approved after offer
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
