Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location: Red Bud, Illinois
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP

Job Description

• Provide nursing care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit.
• Patient ratio approximately 5-6:1.
• Night shift staffing model includes 1 RN and 2 LPNs.
• No float, on-call, or call-back requirements.
• Weekend and holiday shifts scheduled as needed.
• Charting experience with Medhost required; training provided.
• Work environment values resilience, adaptability, and social engagement.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
• Minimum 3 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Completion of at least 2 prior travel nursing assignments
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

• No local candidates within a 40-mile radius will be considered.
• Scrub color is flexible (any color allowed).
• COVID/Flu vaccine religious or medical exemptions accepted.
• Guaranteed hours exclude orientation week and holidays when the unit is closed.
