Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel assignment in Appleton, Wisconsin
• Clinical Resource Team (CRT)
• 13-week contract
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 12-hour night shift, 5:30 PM - 6:00 AM
• Primary locations: Appleton and Neenah
• Based on skillset to fill staffing needs

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• Experience with Epic
• Experience with pre- and post-cardiac catheterization care
• Experience with post-pacemaker care
• Experience with TR bands
• Experience with CIWA protocols
• Experience with CHF management
• Experience with COPD management
• Experience with surgical trauma care
• Experience with DKA management
• Oncology experience
• Stroke experience

Preferred Qualifications

• AHA ACLS
• 1 travel contract
• Experience with pre-post cath, post pacemaker, and TR Bands
• Open to an every-weekend schedule

Unit / Clinical Focus

• Medical-Surgical
• May include general surgical, oncology, renal, CIWA, CHF, COPD, stroke, surgical trauma, ortho, DKA, and rare pediatric patients
• Cardiac-related coverage includes pre/post, heart cath, and pacemakers
• Neuro coverage includes stroke, post TNK, and neuro surgery

Schedule Details

• Weekend rotation as needed
• Holiday rotation as needed
• Missed shifts must be made up within 2 weeks
• No call or callback requirements

• 8-hour unbillable orientation
