Job Description
- Review medication orders from Physicians and Physician Extenders.
- Dispense medications ensuring appropriate drug, dose, frequency, and route of administration.
- Review patient allergies, medical history, drug interactions, and lab information for clinical conflicts before dispensing.
- Manage inventory control.
- Provide drug information support to healthcare team members.
- Oversee pharmacy students and technicians in medication preparation to ensure accuracy and safety.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team on continuum of care and discharge planning.
Education & Licenses
- Bachelor's Degree from a College of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education.
- Doctorate Degree (PharmD) preferred.
- Pennsylvania Pharmacist License required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year experience working in a hospital or Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) in a clinical setting preferred.
- Prior travel experience is not specified as required.
