Job Description

  • Provide nursing care specializing in oncology and hematology patients.
  • Pediatric and hematology/oncology experience required.

Required Qualifications

  • Current RN license.
  • Pediatric oncology/hematology experience.
  • APHON (Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses) certification is required.

Notes

  • This is a long-term assignment with a morning shift schedule.

Pros

Unit is traveler friendly. It’s a teaching hospital so it’s always safe to ask questions. Team members try and help each other, it’s very welcoming.

Cons

Stupid high acuity and nurse to pt ratio is borderline dangerous. 1:6 in the ED and in the units med surge often 1:7.
