13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
CVOR experience within the last year
3 years of CVOR experience
ACLS
BLS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Schedule

Day shift, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Call required on weekdays, weekends, and holidays
Mandatory call/standby required
Call response time: 30 minutes

Work Setting

12 operating suites
Approximately 20 cases per day
High-acuity cardiovascular and thoracic OR environment

Clinical Experience

Common cases include CABG, MVR, AVR, kidney transplant, thoracic and cardiac robotics, peripheral vascular, thoracic, aortic repair, vascular access, hybrid TEVAR/EVAR/TAVR, Impella, IABP, and ECMO

Additional Details

Scrubbing is not required for RNs, but scrub experience is preferred
Floating is not required
Unit-specific orientation is provided
Hospital provides scrubs
