Schedule

• Day shift
• 7 days on / 7 days off
• First 3 days: 12-hour shifts
• Last 4 days: 10-hour shifts
• Minimal call time required
• On-call responsibilities may be included

Required Qualifications

• Medical Technologist with 2 years of experience
• Medical Technologist experience within the last year
• ASCP or NCA
• BLS
• Phlebotomy experience

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate testing procedures and clinical data with medical staff
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomies, therapeutic phlebotomies, and arterial and capillary collections
• Clarify physician orders and answer questions about orders, specimens, and results
• Maintain routine, timed, and STAT testing standards
• Share weekend and daily on-call hours with other staff technologists
• Assist with orientation and training of new employees
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Prepare and monitor quality control charts, instrument function checks, and maintenance protocols
• Document preventive maintenance
• Correlate results with diagnoses and question incompatible results
