Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Utica, New York
Shift: Day (8:30 AM – 9:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 36
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in a 64-bed Emergency Department unit including triage, acute care, super track, trauma, CDU, and psychiatric beds.
• Patient population includes newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
• Common patient diagnoses: Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, Myocardial Infarction, Cardiac Arrest, Respiratory Failure.
• Use specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
• Floating to other units is required.
• Charge nurse capability is highly preferred.
• Block scheduling is not guaranteed.

Required Qualifications

• Active New York RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience, including some pediatric experience.
• Prior travel experience is required.
• Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – TNCC must be in hand at time of submission.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records.
• Valid driver’s license with address matching demographic information.
• Must provide a current NURSYS report and licenses verification.
• Submission must include resume, skills checklist matching specialty, and RTO (Return to Office) documentation.
