Registered Nurse – Endoscopy

Location: Beckley, West Virginia
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide nursing care in the Endoscopy unit.
Patient population includes adult and geriatric patients.
Unit has 4 beds and uses Meditech EHR.
Typical procedures include EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, Bronchoscopy, and feeding tube placements.
Call requirements: On call/as needed.
Weekend hours: Every other weekend/as needed.
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
Float to other units as needed.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia.
Minimum 1 year of Endoscopy nursing experience within the last year.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Current ACLS and BLS certifications prior to start.

Work Environment & Dress Code

Scrub color: Navy blue or hospital OR scrubs.
Casual wear is not acceptable.

Additional Information

Orientation occurs biweekly on Wednesdays.
Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff.
The facility is a Level 3 Trauma center.
The Endoscopy unit is part of a hospital that treats a high volume of patients annually and offers a wide range of surgical services.
