Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Location

Lewiston, Maine

Employment Type

Travel contract
Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit & Facility Information

Unit: Pediatric & Adult Medsurg (27 beds)
Trauma Level III facility
Patient ratios: 1 nurse to 4-5 patients
Equipment includes Sigma Spectrum IV pumps, ceiling and portable Hoyer lifts, portable cardiac monitoring, defibrillators for transport, and EKG machine
Electronic Health Records (EHR): Omnicell, Cerner

Schedule

Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
No call requirements
Float requirements: Yes, float to all units except M3; assist in Emergency Room as needed

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Maine
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 3 years of Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
Experience with cardiac drips including titration
Management of dysrhythmias
Experience with Cerner

Skills & Experience

Telemetry nursing expertise
Post-operative catheter care
Cardiac drip management with titration
Dysrhythmia management and interpretation
Experience with common diagnoses such as stroke, congestive heart failure (CHF), atrial fibrillation (A-fib), arrhythmias, cardiac catheterizations/stents, and general med-surg care

Additional Information

Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
