Overview

• Travel RN role in Tomball, Texas
• Unit: Emergency Room
• 24 beds
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas
• ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS
• PALS
• CPI
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• TNCC
• ATCN/CEN Certification

Unit Details

• Patient ratio: 1:4
• Day shift staffing: 1 charge, 4 RN, 1 paramedic, and 1-3 sitters
• Night shift staffing: 1 charge, 4 RN, 1 paramedic, and 1-3 sitters
• Floating area: none

Clinical Responsibilities

• Acute care and assessment of ER patients
• IV initiation
• Blood collection
• Blood transfusions
• Medication administration
• Resuscitation of adults and pediatric patients
• Care of behavioral health patients
• Assist with intubation
• Restraint application
• Assist with splinting
• Moderate sedation

Schedule

• Weekends are required, minimum 2 per month
• No call

• Must be team-oriented and flexible with placement on the unit, including triage and resus rooms
