Overview

• Travel RN role in Johnstown, Pennsylvania
• 13-week assignment
• Rapid start: must start by 10/26
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
• Can accommodate 48 hours/week upon request
• Weekend expectation: 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule, with at least 2 of those weekends likely scheduled
• No call required
• Float expectation: must be willing to float to a unit with a comparable patient population

Unit and patient population

• Trauma Level 1
• 44 beds across two nursing stations/units on one floor
• Patient ratio: 6:1, up to 7:1
• Adult trauma, ortho, urology, colorectal, and surgical patients
• Common treatment focus: post-op

Required qualifications

• Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 2+ years of Med Surg experience
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• BLS
• Trauma experience
• Experience with Epic
• Ability to manage a 7:1 patient ratio
• Must pass a dysrhythmia test and a math of dosage test before working on the unit
• Complete and clear screenings before start
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
• Department of Human Services fingerprinting
• FBI Department of Aging fingerprinting
• PA State Police clearance
• Fingerprints must be submitted/uploaded before clearance
• Volunteer clearances are not accepted

Preferred / additional notes

• Candidates must be 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered travel
• Local rate is listed for reference in the source
• Staff should be professional in appearance
• No facial piercings other than a one-sided nose stud; hoops are not allowed on the face
• Likelihood of agency staff being floated off the unit is low, but floating may still occur
