Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)

- Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Night Shift)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information
- Unit: ICU / CCU
- Number of Beds: 14
- Staffing: 8 RNs per shift (1 Charge RN + 7-8 Staff RNs)
- Patient Ratios: 2:1 or 1:1
- Equipment: Alaris IV pumps
- EMR System: EPIC
Required Qualifications
- Licenses & Certifications:
- Alaska RN License required
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in specialty
- Experience with EPIC EMR system
- Ability to independently manage intubated patients and titrate pressors
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year experience recovering open heart surgery patients (<12 hours post-op)
Typical Procedures Performed
- Intubation
- Arterial line insertion
- Chest tube insertion
- Central line insertion
Additional Information
- Floating may be required to other departments (MOU, CVSU, Ortho, Rehab, SPCU) if unit is overstaffed, per union contract
- Dress Code: Navy Blue scrubs
- Workweek: Monday through Friday (no weekends or on-call)
