Schedule
- Day shift
- 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
- Self-scheduling available
- 3 weekend shifts per schedule
- Holiday shifts required
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license for Washington or a compact state
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- 2 years of ICU experience
- Prior floating experience
- Epic experience
Clinical Setting
- High-acuity float pool covering critical care, observation, med surg, general surgery, ortho surgery, short stay surgery, thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, oncology, telemetry, and progressive care
Responsibilities
- Titrate drips
- Read telemetry strips
Unit Details
- Nurse-to-patient ratios vary by acuity, typically 1-2 and sometimes 1-3
- Charge nurse and resource nurses do not take assignments
- Nurse aides are usually present
- Common equipment includes vents, high-flow, BiPAP, and CPAP
Orientation
- General hospital orientation
- On-unit orientation
- 2 ICU shifts of unit orientation
Dress Code
- Royal blue scrubs

- Parking is available at the hospital garage with daily and monthly options, at additional cost
