Travel RN - Cardiac ICU
Location
- Redding, California
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- 12-hour day shifts
- Every other weekend
- First to float to tele or med-surg units
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- CVICU (2 years of experience)
- CVICU experience within the last year
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Unit Details
- 30-bed Cardiac ICU
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1 to 1:2
- Charge nurse does not take a patient assignment
- No nurse aides
- Ventilator support available
- Hospitalist in house 24/7
- Respiratory therapy available 24/7
- Pharmacy available 24/7
Additional Information
- Proctored dysrhythmia test on day one for telemetry, labor and delivery, emergency, and critical care nurses
- Cerner is used for the unit
- Navy scrubs required
- 1 day of unit orientation
- NIHSS is preferred

Great hospital. Kind and friendly staff.
Cons
The cafeteria is a hit and miss. Some days they have great sea food with saffron rice! Some days microwaved food :D. But there is alwaaaaays, pizza available ;)
