Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)

Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Work 12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours total)
• Consistent schedule with the same 3 nights every week
• No additional call or weekend shifts unless working a Friday/Saturday/Sunday block
• Opportunity to pick up extra shifts as available
• Circulate for one OR room in a unit with 35 ORs
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:1 in the OR
• Must be flexible to work across all specialties within the unit if needed; no floating to other units outside the OR department
• Orientation expected to be completed within one week, including one day for charting, ESAR privileges, and orientation to related units such as pre-op and PACU
• Scrubs provided (Ceil Blue), surgical dress code enforced (no earrings)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of circulating experience in the OR
• Current South Dakota RN license or compact license
• BLS certification required
• Experience with EPIC charting system
• Experience in robotics highly preferred

Additional Information

• Must badge in and out at the facility
• Local placements within an 80-mile radius
• Shift schedule includes weekends, evenings, and call shifts averaging 1-2 per month
• Must disclose if previously worked at the facility; if so, last assignment must have ended at least 6 months prior to submission

Work Environment

• 12-hour shifts, primarily nights
• Guarantee of 36 hours per week
• Surgical OR setting with strict dress code and professional standards
