Charge Nurse (RN) – Contract Position

Location: Bangor, Maine
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Shift: Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Summary

Coordinate and direct total nursing care for an assigned group of residents/patients during the shift.
Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident/patient care.
Provide leadership and work cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other care team members.
Serve as a resource for the unit and provide backup administrative support in the absence of the Director.
Maintain resident/patient privacy and confidentiality.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maine
Minimum of 3 years of skilled nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Experience in long term care
Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Additional Information

Local travelers accepted; must reside 50+ miles from the facility.
Facility may cancel or call off up to three shifts during the 13-week assignment.
