Pathologists' Assistant

Location: Carbondale, Illinois
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, no call required.
Assist with gross descriptions and dissection of surgical tissues.
Submit specimens for laboratory testing.
Summarize patients' medical history.
Collaborate effectively with medical staff, laboratory personnel, and other hospital staff.

Required Qualifications

Master's degree in Health Science or Pathology.
ASCP Certification.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.

Physical Requirements

Intermittent hand manipulation.
Intermittent lifting and carrying of up to 50 lbs.
