Guaranteed hours: 48 preferred

Unit Details

Unit: 6 East Ortho/Trauma
Beds: 23
Patient ratio: 1:4 to 1:5
Staffing support: Unit secretary and PCTs
Floating: May float to other MedSurg level-of-care units, with contract labor first to float
Schedule: 3 12-hour shifts and 3 weekend shifts per schedule period
Documentation system: Meditech

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Missouri
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Med Surg (1 year of experience)
Med Surg experience within the last year
BLS
NIH (National Institutes of Health stroke scale) experience
Ortho Trauma experience

Preferred / Helpful Experience

Ortho experience
Telemetry experience
NIH experience

Clinical Setting

Post-op knee, hip, and shoulder replacements
Trauma patients
Some neuro overflow

Additional Notes

Uses bedside shift report and hourly rounding
Navy scrubs required

Pros

This MRI department is amazing! The nurses there are awesome! My experience there was exceptional! The patient care was outstanding!!

Cons

The pay was the only thing that was lacking. But that is what it was! No regrets about working there! Also the housing situation was not great. But that has nothing to do with the facility!
