Overview

• Travel RN role in Newborn Nursery
• Start: ASAP
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days, 7a-7p
• Hours per week: 36

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Alabama
• Nursery (2 years of experience)
• Nursery experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS
• NRP
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Role Details

• Provides care to Newborn Nursery patients during the immediate neonatal phase and newborn care
• Responsible for shift accountability
• Uses the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy and procedures
• Demonstrates critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning safe delivery of care
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education
• Delegates patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff
• Provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care
