Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shift)
Hours per Week: 36

Unit: Neuro Medical/Surgical (Telemetry)
Unit Details:
- 30 beds
- 60 staff members total
- Patient ratio: 1:5
- Typical staff per shift:
- Day: 1 CNC, 3 RNs, 3 LVNs, 3 PCTs, 1 UCo
- Night: 1 CNC, 3 RNs, 3 LVNs, 3 PCTs
- Equipment includes Welch Allyn Vital Signs, COWs, Hoyer lift, PCA pumps, CareView Virtual Sitter, Telepsych, Teleneuro
- EMR system: Meditech
Job Description
Provide nursing care on a neuro medical/surgical telemetry unit. Typical procedures include stroke NIH assessments, EEGs, gastric decompression, and wound care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Work Environment & Culture

- Navy scrub color required
- Hoop nose piercings are not allowed
- No call required during assignment

Schedule & Staffing
